Welcome to the Official 2012 Maritime Jazz Festival Site where you can find out What's On,             Book Tickets and see what else you can visit whilst at the festival. The Theme for this festival is TV and Film. Many of the musicians this year have presented TV programmes and performed on TV and in Film, and are being introduced by TV News Presenter Rob Smith.

Wednesday 19th September Evening Performance and Great Italian Food at Simply Italian (55 High Street, Rochester, Kent ME1 1LN) A great way to start the festival, great food, great music, with award winning vocalist and BBC Wales TV Presenter Tina May. Music 8pm More Info

Friday 21st Sept   Evening Performances at Dickens World  (Chatham Maritime, Leviathan Way, Chatham, Kent ME4 4LL)  Doors Open 7pm.  Main Performances 8pm. Reception Music with TBC followed by, Main performances; Actor and Pianist, the star of hit Judi Dench Film 'Mrs Henderson Presents' Dorian Ford with Vibesmaster Roan Kearsey-Lawson and smooth trumpeter Matt Gough, followed by Italian Master Tommaso Starace, and last but not least Univeral Records Artist Shane Hampsheir with his dancing girls and big band (including musician from Syd Lawrence Orchestra). More Info

Saturday 22nd Sept   Evening Performances at Dickens World  (Chatham Maritime, Leviathan Way, Chatham, Kent ME4 4LL)  Doors open 7pm.  Main Performances 8pm. Reception Music with TBC.  Main Theatre Performances: Hosted by Rob Smith from BBC TV News, Star of Channel 4 TV, top Trumpeter Ray Butcher leading Blew Tubes Funky New Orleans Street Beat Band, followed by Brazilian, Latin and Melodic Jazz Flautist and BBCTV's Proms Musician Steve Rubie (including award winning pianist Jonathan Gee and band), and finishing off the evening with the UK's Answer to Frank Sinatra with Ryan Sanders Swing Thing, big band including Frank Sinatra's Saxophone player.  More Info

Sunday 23rd Sept   Roast Lunch & Music at the Roffen Club (41 New Rd Rochester, ME1 1DX)  Doors open 12.45pm, music and lunch served at 1.15pm.  A great way to finish the festival, stuffed on both great food and great music. Featuring the British Jazz Legend Tommy Whittle (as seen on BBC TV with Ted Heath Band) and singer Barbara Jay plus full band.  More Info
